Ever since the founding of our firm in 1981, we’ve been insisting on the principle that “responsibility creates value and honesty gains trust”. Through persistent and diligent hard working for over 30 years, the old, middle-aged and young generation in this firm have made the well-known brand “Xinhua” obtained acceptance and reliance among clients from all circles of the society. Over the years, several lawyers in our firm have been awarded the honors as among Shanghai Top 10 Lawyers, Shanghai Lawyer Model in Professional Ethics, Ministerial-level Superior Lawyer of Ministry of Justice, Individual Third Class Merit, Superior Women Lawyer, Advanced Worker in Legal Aid, the Best Debater and Outstanding Debater in Shanghai debate competition among lawyers.

Our firm is passionately devoted to public welfare undertakings. “Xinhua Legal Advice Hotline” was the first legal consulting hotline in Shanghai, which was named “Youth League” by the Communist Youth League Committee of Shanghai. Besides, our firm also established ‘Xinhua Education Fund” in Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and “Xinhua Scholarship” in East China University of Political Science and Law respectively.

Lawyers in our firm published academic works such as Criminal Defense, Infringement and Compensation, and Divorce Proceedings Agent Skills. Over 100 papers were issued on newspapers, magazines and forums, part of which were awarded the prize of Shanghai Superior Paper by Lawyers.

In October 1995, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice granted us as the Advanced Law Firm in Shanghai.

In April 1998, Ministry of Justice of People’s Republic of China honored us as Civilized Law Firm of Ministerial Level.

In March 1999, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice cited us Collective Second Class Merit on the base of judicial administrative system.

In February 2000, our firm was named Advanced Unit in the event of striving to be a satisfactory judicial administration unit organized by Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice.

In March 2000, Shanghai Bar Association and Shanghai Legal Aid Center granted us as Advanced Law Firm in Legal Aid.

In May 2001, Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League granted us the honor of National Outstanding Youth Rights Protection Unit.

In June 2005, All China Lawyers Association approved our firm to be one of the first batch of Best Law Firms in China.

From 1997 to 2009, our firm has been awarded Civilized Unit by Shanghai Municipal People’s Government successively for seven times.
